Answer... It depends on what type of stucco is present. If
EIFS is present the typical scanner used is a Tramex Wet
Wall Dectector used to scan the house especially around
window and roof to wall intersections. If moisture is found
with the scanner, a probe is made of this area with a Delmhorst BD 2000 meter to test the moisture content of the sheathing located behind the EIFS.

Answer...The stucco system itself does not leak but all penetrations into the system are possible areas for moisture intrusion. Common areas are windows, roof to wall intersections or kickout flashing locations, decks or balconys, column bases, chimneys and any other penetration into the system allowing possible water entry.
Answer... If the stucco system is a Conventional, Traditional Hardcoat or a Direct Applied System the Tramex Wet Wall Detector does not work on these types of systems. A random number of windows and all roof to wall locations will be tested for moisture using the probe meter. The moisture analyst will also test for areas of possible moisture intrusion if noted upon visual inspection.
